In the January-November period of last year, Colombia exported 101,935 mt of ferronickel, down 14.3 percent, with a value of $327.3 million, increasing by 9.4 percent, both year on year, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE). In November last year, the country's ferronickel exports amounted to 13,947 mt, rising by 13.5 percent, while the revenue from these exports was $48.3 million, up 40.6 percent, both compared to November 2016.
In the January-November period of 2017, Colombia's iron and steel export volume totaled 184,919 mt, up 3.7 percent, with a value of $448.7 million, rising by 20.8 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In November, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 19,720 mt, increasing by 6.1 percent, and were worth $56.9 million, up 41.3 percent, both compared to the same month of 2016.
