CISA: China's average daily crude steel output remains high in early May

On May 19, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that its member companies achieved an average daily crude steel output of 1.6323 million mt in the first 10 days of May this year, down 0.7 percent compared with the average daily figure for the last 10 days of April (April 21-30).

In the period under review, China posted an overall average daily crude steel output of 1.9467 million mt, up 0.29 percent compared with the average daily figure for last 10 days of April.

In April, China had posted a record average daily crude steel output of
1.931 million mt.
