Cimtas and Bechtel initiate steel pipe making joint venture

Reports from the industry reveal that Cimtas, the Turkish company specialised in engineering and fabrication-installation of heavy steel structures in the construction industry, has set up a plant close by its current plant situated in Gemlik, at the northwest of Turkey. This plant is designed for steel pipe production and will be a joint venture of Cimtas and Bechtel, a California based company. The new plant is aiming to reach an annual production capacity of 6.000mts in 2003.
