ChTPZ to deliver LD pipes to KazTransOil

One of the largest Russian pipe producers, ChTPZ Group, has announced that up to the end of 2009 it will deliver 6,700 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes of 530 mm diameter and 8 mm wall thickness and also of 1,020 mm diameter and 11 mm wall thickness to Kazakhstan's national oil transportation company, KazTransOil.

The LD pipes will be produced at ChTPZ's subsidiary Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant from 17G1S-U steel grade, with an external three-layered polyethylene coating, and will be used for the maintenance and repair of Kazakhstan's pipelines.

In 2008, ChTPZ's deliveries of pipe products to customers in Kazakhstan amounted to more than 70,000 mt.
