According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in late November (Nov. 21-30) this year the average daily output of crude steel in China was 1.643 million mt, 2.74 percent higher than the average daily volume of 1.607 million mt recorded in mid-November (Nov. 11-20).

The increase in daily output of crude steel is mainly due to a relaxation of the government policy targeting energy savings and emission reductions as well as the recovery of the steel market, the CISA said.

The CISA also stated that the average daily production of crude steel in China for the whole of November was 1.622 million mt, up 38,000 mt or 2.4 percent compared to October.

During the last 10 days of November, the aggregate crude steel output of domestic steel producers came to 16.43 million mt.

According to the data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics, in October China's monthly production of crude steel was 50.3 million mt, down 3.8 percent year on year.
