China's average daily crude steel output hits record in April

According to China's National Bureau of Statistics, Chinese domestic crude steel output totaled 60.57 million mt in April this year, 1.53 million mt more than in the same month last year. In addition, Chinese crude steel output in the first four months of the current year amounted to 2.33 million mt, 4.36 million mt more than in the same period last year.
Average daily crude steel production in China in April reached 2.01 million mt, increasing by 32,700 mt month on month and constituting an all-time record.
 
China's total output of pig iron in April this year was 56.77 million mt, up 2.7 percent year on year, while in January-April the total was 221.7 million mt, 5.82 million mt more than in the same period last year.

China's finished steel product output in April rose to 81.06 million mt, up 7.9 percent year on year, while during January-April total finished steel output amounted to 302.44 million mt, up 6.2 percent year on year.
 
Finally, total Chinese iron ore output in April reached 104.01 million mt, up 16.4 percent year on year, while in January-April total iron ore production came to 363.24 million mt, increasing by 18.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
