China’s new energy vehicle output down 69.1 percent in January

In January this year, China produced 6,889 new energy vehicles, down 69.1 percent year on year, including 5,857 pure electric passenger cars and 1,032 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, down 63.8 percent and 83.2 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In January this year, China’s new energy vehicle sales volumes amounted to 5,682 units, down 74.4 percent on year-on-year basis, including 4,978 pure electric passenger cars and 704 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, decreasing by 67.8 percent and 89.5 percent year on year, respectively.
