China’s daily crude steel output down slightly in mid-December

According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in mid-December 2011 (Dec. 11-20) the average daily crude steel output of the association's member steel companies stood at 1.514 million mt, rising by 1.52 percent as compared to early December (Dec. 1-10).
 
Meanwhile, the overall average daily output of crude steel in China during the mid-December period amounted to 1.666 million mt, down 0.44 percent compared to early December, according to the CISA figures.
