In November this year, the total crude steel output of Chinese steelmakers amounted to 57.471 million mt, up 13.7 percent year on year but down 1.625 million mt compared to October, according to figures released by China’s National Bureau of Statistics. Meanwhile, the total crude steel output of Chinese steelmakers in the January-November period amounted to 660.125 million mt, up 2.9 percent year on year.
In November, the total pig iron output of Chinese steelmakers amounted to 51.409 million mt, up 10.7 percent year on year.
In the given month, the total finished steel output of Chinese steelmakers amounted to 81.231 million mt, up 16.5 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in November the average aggregate daily finished steel production of the steelmakers was 2,707,700 mt.
In the January-November period of this year, total pig iron and finished steel outputs of Chinese steelmakers were 608.724 million mt and 870.405 million mt, up 3.5 percent and 7.2 percent respectively, both year on year.
