China’s average daily crude steel output down slightly in mid-May

According to the data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in mid-May this year (May 11-20) the total crude steel output of the large and medium-size Chinese steel enterprises which are members of the CISA totaled 16.921 million mt, with an average daily crude steel output of 1.692 million mt, down 0.4 percent as compared to early May (May 1-10). Meanwhile, in mid-May the overall average daily crude steel output in China amounted to 2.0395 million mt, down 0.3 percent as compared to early May.
