CFI announces executive appointments following John Foster’s resignation

On Tuesday, Hernan Guajardo, President and CEO of Houston, Texas-based steel trading company Coutinho & Ferrostaal Incorporated (CFI) announced promotions of key managers with the Americas division. The changes come following the resignation of CFI's North American President and CEO John Foster last week. Industry sources have confirmed that Foster will take a position with California-based trading company Kurt Orban Partners and plans on starting his own company.

Effective August 1, 2012, Mike Rogers, who most recently was the VP--Flat and Plate Products, will take the title of EVP-Commercial and COO for the organization. Rogers will also serve on the CFI Board. 

Bernd Neuenkirchen who is currently the VP--Long and Special Steels will now also hold a Directors seat on the CFI Board and lend his unique experience and market knowledge to the company's management team.
