Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending June 23, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by five rigs to 682.
The number of rigs drilling for gas remained level at 130, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by six to 552. The overall US rig count is down by 71 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 10 to 169 rigs in the week ending June 23. The Canadian rig count is up by 15 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
