Bosch invests €160 million to manufacture machinery parts in Mexico

German multinational manufacturer Bosch has invested, through one of its subsidiaries, €160 million to manufacture machinery components in the central state of Queretaro. The investment is intended to strengthen the company’s international production network, Bosch reported in a statement.

"Bosch Rexroth will manufacture hydraulic pumps for mobile machinery in Queretaro, and is preparing an increase in hydraulic components, as well as linear motion technology for applications in mechanical manufacturing engineering and factory automation," the company reported.

The investment is targeted to meet the demand of the North American market, it will generate 900 jobs in the coming years in Mexico.

According to the press release, the company will more quickly serve its customers, particularly for agricultural and construction machinery and OEM machinery manufacturers in North America.

The Rexroth plant will be the second Bosch plant in Querétaro; the first was recently expanded for the production of automotive components.
