Turkish pipe producer Borusan Mannesmann has announced that it will supply large diameter pipes for the 449 km NGL pipe project to be built in Texas, US.

Within the scope of the order worth approximately $130 million, the spirally welded pipes to be produced in Turkey's northwestern city of Gemlik will be sent to Houston port in Texas, and then delivered to three different stockyards in Texas.

According to Borusan Mannesmann, this project will be the longest pipeline that the company will have supplied pipes to. It will also be the first time that Borusan Mannesmann will produce 24.5 meter long spirally welded pipes for a natural gas pipeline. The production and shipment of the pipes are expected to completed in 2015.
