Borusan Mannesman to supply LD pipes to key Danish pipeline project

Turkey's leading pipemaker Borusan Mannesman has announced that it has won a contract to supply large diameter (LD) steel pipes to a project entitled ‘Ellund-Egtved Natural Gas Pipline' to be implemented by Denmark's state-owned electricity and natural gas provider Energinet.dk.
 
According to a statement by Borusan Mannesman, the project will build a 94 km pipeline to satisfy the natural gas needs of the southern regions of Jutland Peninsula in Denmark. The Turkish pipemaker is going to supply 6,300 LD pipes worth a total of €20.77 million to the project.
 
Borusan Mannesman pointed out that 10 percent of the natural gas pipelines in Denmark will have been built using Borusan Mannesman pipes following the completion of the project.
