Bohai Steel performs strongly in Q1

Tianjin-based Chinese steelmaker Bohai Steel has announced that in the first quarter of the current year it produced 4,499,000 mt of pig iron, 4,794,000 mt of crude steel and 5,152,000 mt of finished steel.

The producer's total output value in the first quarter is estimated at RMB 49.22 billion ($7.58 billion), up 34.5 percent year on year.
