BMZ plans massive investments for 2007

Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ), the largest steel producer in Belarus, plans to invest $50 million in the modernization of its steel production capacities. The modernization is aimed at decreasing the plant's primary cost of production and its expenditure on secondary materials used in steel production. In addition, as SteelOrbis reported previously, in 2007 BMZ is to put into operation a new seamless pipe workshop with annul production capacity of 250,000-280,000 metric tons.
