Bhilai Steel Plant reports 16% increase for production

Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), India's largest integrated steel plant and a unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) announced that it has surpassed its best ever annual production and export figure in less than first eleven months of the current fiscal. The company posted around 16% increase in all major production parameters against the industry average of 8%. Furthermore, BSP targets to produce 5.2 million tons of hot metal and 4.2 million tons of saleable steel in 2004-05 fiscal year.
