Bhilai Steel Plant reports 16% increase for production
Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP),
India's largest integrated steel plant and a unit of Steel Authority of
India Ltd (
SAIL) announced that it has surpassed its best ever annual
production and export figure in less than first eleven months of the current fiscal.
The company posted around 16% increase in all major
production parameters against the industry average of 8%.
Furthermore, BSP targets to produce 5.2 million tons of hot metal and 4.2 million tons of saleable steel in 2004-05 fiscal year.
