Baotou Steel produces 843,800 mt of finished steel in November

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Group (Baotou Steel) has announced that it produced 843,800 mt of finished steel products in November this year, up 3.29 percent compared to the corresponding month of 2009.

Baotou Steel's main seamless steel pipe producing plant produced 64,900 mt of the products in question in November this year, with the aggregate seamless pipe output volume for the first 11 months reaching 681,600 mt, up 1.6 percent year on year.

In November, the company achieved its finished steel production target of 10.1 million mt for the whole of 2010 ahead of schedule.
