In the first quarter of this year, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Group produced 2.3981 million mt of pig iron, 2.4609 million mt of crude steel and 2.3465 million mt of finished steel. In March, the company's output of pig iron, crude steel and finished steel respectively amounted to 822,100 mt, 820,400 mt and 773,400 mt.

Despite unfavorable factors such as bad weather and the weak market, the company successfully coordinated its product structure in order to achieve its production targets for the first quarter.
