According to Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baotou Steel), in September the company's outputs all exceeded the targeted volumes.
Accordingly, in September Baotou Steel produced 881,600 mt of pig iron and 808,300 mt of semi-finished steel products, increasing by 7.54 percent and 0.92 percent year on year, respectively. In addition, in September Baotou Steel produced 847,700 mt of finished steel, which was equivalent to 101.6 percent of its target for the month.
