Chinese steel giant Baosteel has announced that it is to supply a total of 21,000 mt of X65 grade line pipes for a new gas pipeline project in Indonesia.

Baosteel initially signed a contract for supply of 10,000 mt of the line pipes in question to the Indonesian pipeline project, and has already shipped an initial batch of 5,000 mt of X65 grade high-frequency welded (HFW) pipes. However, after a visit to Baosteel's production facilities by a delegation from the Indonesian buyer, another order was placed for the supply of an additional 11,000 mt of the product. Accordingly, Baosteel will supply all 21,000 mt of line pipes for the construction of the new pipeline which will be 140 km long.
