Baosteel Steel Tube Works posts increased output

Up to the end of August, the year-to-date outputs of seamless tube and high frequency welding (HFW) pipe at Baosteel Steel Tube Works amounted to 512,000 mt and 151,000 mt respectively, exceeding the targeted outputs by 8.5 percent and five percent. During the same period, the company exported a total of 149,000 mt of products, i.e. 67.7 percent of the planned annual export volume.

Tube producers in China are going through a pretty tough year when the commencement of a total of over twenty technical renovation programs having an impact on their production. In this context, Baosteel Steel Tube Works has continued to increase its output and revenues, with particular emphasis placed on HFW.
