In mid-July (July 11-20) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300
wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium
plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,425.2/mt ($363.1/mt), RMB 2,499.8/mt ($374.2/mt), RMB 2,572.2/mt ($385.1/mt), RMB 2,701.3/mt ($404.4/mt), RMB 2,937.7/mt ($439.8/mt) and RMB 2,586.8/mt ($387.2/mt), rising by RMB 92.5/mt ($13.8/mt), RMB 61.6/mt ($9.2/mt), RMB 51.6/mt ($7.7/mt), RMB 46.0/mt ($6.9/mt), RMB 64/mt ($9.6/mt) and RMB 52.5/mt ($7.9/mt), increasing by 4.0 percent, 2.5 percent, 2.0 percent, 1.7 percent, 2.2 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively, all compared to prices in early July (July 1-10) this year, as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 25.
