In late August (August 21-30) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300
wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,155.5/mt ($336.8/mt), RMB 2,280.4/mt ($356.3/mt), RMB 2,166.0/mt ($338.4/mt), RMB 2,189.0/mt ($342.0/mt), RMB 3,049.8/mt ($476.5/mt) and RMB 2,454.3/mt ($383.5/mt), down RMB 56.1/mt ($8.8/mt), RMB 29.3/mt ($4.6/mt), RMB 39.7/mt ($6.2/mt), RMB 45.5/mt ($7.1/mt), RMB 12.8/mt ($2.0/mt) and RMB 18.2/mt ($2.8/mt), decreasing by 2.5 percent, 1.3 percent, 1.8 percent, 2.0 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively, compared to prices in mid-August (August 11-20), as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on September 6.
