Australia extends probe on precision pipe and tube steel from four countries

Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has extended the deadline of its antidumping (AD) duty probe on certain electric resistance welded pipe and tube made of carbon steel imported from China, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam and its countervailing duty investigation against imports of the given products from China and Vietnam. The commission is currently scheduled to issue its final determination on or about December 18, 2020.

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the investigation, which was launched on March 31, 2020, upon the application lodged by local producer Orrcon Manufacturing Pty Ltd, covers the period from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00 and 7306.61.00.
