Argentinian crude steel production in November increased 4.8 percent, year-on-year, and 2.2 percent, month-on-month, to 456,000 mt, the local steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA), said.
CAA said hot rolled finished steel output in November was 382,100 mt, 7.8 percent down, year-on-year, and 4.2 percent down, month-on-month.
The local steel association said cold rolled flat steel output in November fell 22.7 percent, year-on-year, and 6.2 percent, month-on-month, to 82,800 mt, surpassing October’s production volume of 88,300 mt, which at the time was the lowest output level reported thus far in the year.
According to CAA, as for the accumulated period of January to November, Argentinian crude steel output totaled 4.80 million mt, 13.2 percent up, year-on-year.
It said Argentinian hot rolled finished steel production in the eleven-month period reached 4.47 million mt, 7.4 percent up, year-on-year.
On the other hand, Argentinian cold rolled flat steel production in the January-November period was 1.16 million mt, 3.1 percent down, year-on-year, CAA said.
