Argentina’s Siderar posts $44.9 million net profit in Q1

Argentinean steelmaker Ternium Siderar posted an ARS 640.2 million ($44.9 million) net profit in Q1, 8.9 percent down, year-on-year, according to several media reports on Thursday.

The net profit posted by the Argentinean steelmaker was below analysts’ estimates that said Siderar could post an ARS 900 million net profit in Q1.

Siderar is owned by the Techint Ternium group.
