Argentina’s crude steel production decreases in November

Argentina’s crude steel production in November decreased 3.4 percent month-on-month to 461,300 mt, and declined by 1.7 percent year-on-year, according to the nation’s steel chamber, CAA.

The pace of steel production at Argentinian mills was almost the same of that registered in October, said the report, despite having one less day of activity in November.

Crude steel production from January to November increased 6.1 percent year on year to 5 million mt.

Hot rolled finished production increased 1.9 percent in November compared to October, but fell 2.7 percent year-on-year, reaching 425,000 mt.

CAA said cold rolled flat steel production in November decreased 39.2 percent, month on month, but increased 7.8 percent year on year to 133,600 mt.
