According to the data released by Argentina's chamber of steel, in April this year Argentina's crude steel output amounted to 480,000 metric tons, falling by 3.4 percent as compared to the previous month and up 1.3 percent year on year. In the first four months of this year, Argentina's crude steel production totaled 1.8 million metric tons, increasing by 4.4 percent year on year.
In April, Argentina's total hot rolled steel product output decreased by 8.4 percent month on month to 446,000 metric tons, while a 32.2 percent increase was recorded on year-on-year basis, including output of 214,200 metric tons of hot rolled flat steel products - down 12.1 percent month on month, and 231,800 metric tons of long steel products, decreasing by 4.6 percent compared to March this year.
The country's cold rolled flat steel product output in April rose by 4.4 percent month on month to 116,600 metric tons, up 11.1 percent as compared to April last year.
