ArcelorMittal Temirtau to invest KZT 3 billion in reconstruction of sintering machine No. 6

ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan, has announced that it will invest about KZT 3 billion ($9.58 million) in the reconstruction of its sintering machine No. 6, which will start in April and be completed in June this year. The purpose of the project is to increase the productivity of the sintering machine by 30 percent and improving working conditions for employees.

According to ArcelorMittal Temirtau, this project is one of the main stages of the plan to improve the performance of the company’s sintering complex, with a total investment value of KZT 7.3 billion ($23.32 million). Implementation of the reconstruction of the sintering complex started in 2015 with the sintering machine No. 7. According to the plan, in 2018 reconstruction works will be carried out on the sintering machine No. 5.
