ArcelorMittal Poland has announced that it is postponing the temporary idling of its primary operations in Krakow, originally planned for September.

Although the challenges such as high raw material prices, rising costs of CO2 emission rights and weak safeguard measures in Europe persist, the company has decided to postpone the idling of primary operations in Krakow to reevaluate the whole situation.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, ArcelorMittal said that the primary production (blast furnace and steel plant) would be temporarily idled at its Polish facilities.
