ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output down 4.1% in Jan-May

In the January-May period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 2.480 million mt, down 4.1 percent year on year, as announced by the company.

In addition, in the first five months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 10.6 percent decrease year on year in its finished steel output to 2.153 million mt, while its pig iron production in the given period declined by 3.1 percent year on year to 2.180 million mt.

Meanwhile, in May alone, the company produced 611,000 mt of crude steel, 528,000 mt of pig iron and 497,000 mt of finished steel products.
