ArcelorMittal Hamburg, a subsidiary of Luxembourg-headquartered global steelmaker ArcelorMittal, plans to halt production twice for a total five weeks in the fourth quarter due to weak domestic steel demand and high electricity costs, SteelOrbis has heard.

The shutdowns will be implemented from October 27 to November 12 and from December 14 to December 31. The plant will operate with minimal staff and in short shifts during the given periods.
