10 coal groups each of 100 million mt capacity to be formed in China by 2015

The Chinese government, which held a meeting to discuss the national coal industry on November 9, has indicated that the integration of the domestic coal industry will be continued during China's 12th five-year plan period (2011-2015).

Accordingly, in the 12th five-year plan period large coal bases and modernized coal mines will be constructed for coal production, and the development of large coal enterprises and groups will be supported by the central government. 10 coal enterprises each with a production capacity of 100 million mt and another 10 coal enterprises each with an output of 50 million mt will be formed in China by the end of 2015.
