US import line pipe market stays its course

The US import line pipe market has continued to stay its course, with pricing, order activity and inquiries all having remained lateral in the past seven days.
 
“Pricing is still stable and there’s just not a lot to report,” one Midwest-based source said. “There isn’t a whole lot that happens at the end of the year and this year isn’t turning out to be any different.
 
In terms of import offer pricing, the most commonly heard offer price for import API-X42 ERW line pipe pricing in the US domestic market from Korea is continues to hold at $30-$31 cwt. ($661-$683/mt or $600-$620/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.  As with last week, some buyers have indicated that some sellers are trying to push for prices that are $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) above the most commonly heard range.
