Seamless pipe demand in Turkey remains rather weak due to the beginning of Ramadan and the summer holiday season.

Over the past month, offers of Chinese seamless pipes to Turkey have decreased by a minimum of $15/mt. Ukrainian producers have cut their offers by $45-60/mt, while Russian producer ChTPZ has lowered its offers by around $20/mt over the same period. At the same time, import quotations of Romanian material have decreased by $40/mt over the past month due to currency fluctuations, while offers of Italian seamless pipes have declined by $10-40/mt. Turkish seamless pipe consumption is likely to be low in the coming month as many market players are postponing bookings due to the seasonal summer lull and lack of credit.

Chinese suppliers are offering seamless pipes of 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM to the Turkish market in the price range of $840-965/mt CFR.

September production pipes from Ukrainian producer Interpipe with diameter of 50-323 mm as per GOST or ASTM are being offered to the Turkish market at about $1,075-1,100/mt CFR.

Quotations of Russian seamless pipes from Volzhsky PP (TMK Group) with diameter up to 219.1 mm made to GOST or ASTM are being given to the Turkish market at about $1,060-1,090/mt CFR for September production, while pipes with diameter of 323.8-406.4 mm are offered at $1,355-1,365/mt CFR for December 2012-January 2013 production . Russian producer ChTPZ is offering October production seamless pipes with diameter up to 168 mm made to GOST or ASTM at about $990-1,020/mt CFR.

Import offers of seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal), 12"-14" of grade B made to ASTM, are being given to the Turkish market at $1,320-1,360/mt CPT, while 3"-10" pipes are quoted at around $1,290-1,300/mt CPT.

6"-10" seamless pipes of grade B as per ASTM from Italian producer Tenaris Dalmine are quoted to Turkish customers at $1,580-1,680/mt CPT, while 16" pipes are at around $1,790-1,800/mt CPT.
