The Turkish seamless pipe market has not experienced any strengthening over the past month. Seamless pipe demand has softened in Turkey even more in the run up to the current holiday in the country which lasts until October 30. Import quotations of Ukrainian and Russian seamless pipes have stayed unchanged over the period under review. At the same time, import quotations of Romanian material have increased by $15-20/mt over the past month amid currency fluctuations, while offers of Chinese seamless pipes to Turkey have increased by $20-60/mt. Market participants do not expect demand to strengthen after the holiday as traders will try to decrease inventory levels at the end of the year as consuming industries are still facing a slowdown period and no improvements are expected this year.

Chinese suppliers are offering seamless pipes of 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM to the Turkish market in the price range of $820-920/mt CFR, while 18"-24" pipes are quoted at around $1,000-1,120/mt CFR.

November production pipes from Ukrainian producer Interpipe of 2"-8" grade B as per ASTM A106 are being offered to the Turkish market at about $1,050-1,100/mt CFR, while pipes with 60.3-168.3 mm diameter of steel grade 10, 20 made to GOST are quoted at around $1,030-1,080/mt CFR.

Quotations of Russian seamless pipes from Tagmet (TMK Group) of 4"-8" grade B made to ASTM or GOST are being given to the Turkish market at about $1,050-1,080/mt CFR for December production.

Russian producer ChTPZ is offering December production seamless pipes, 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM or GOST, at about $970-1,000/mt CFR, while 1"-1 1/4" pipes are quoted at $1,280-1,300/mt CFR.

Import offers of seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal), 12"-14" of grade B made to ASTM, are being given to the Turkish market at $1,420-1,460/mt CPT, while 3"-10" pipes are quoted at around $1,385-1,395/mt CPT.
