Purchasing activity is still quite modest in the Iranian seamless pipe market. Domestic prices for Iranian seamless pipes have moved down by $30-50/mt over the past month, while buyers have stayed out of the market except to meet urgent needs. In the given period, import offers of Chinese material have decreased by a maximum of $10/mt, while prices of Ukrainian pipes have remained unchanged. Market participants believe that due to lack of consumption any improvement in seamless pipe prices seems unlikely in the short run.

Current domestic prices for Iranian seamless pipes, 2"-4" grade B made to API 5L, are in the range of $850-900/mt ex-works. Iranian production 1"-4" seamless pipes of grade Х52 made to API 5L are currently offered to the domestic market at on average $950-1,000/mt ex-works.

Stockists' quotations of Iranian 1"-3" seamless pipes, grade B made to API 5L, are in the range of $950-990/mt ex-warehouse, compared to $960-1,005/mt ex-warehouse one month ago.

Import offers of Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6", grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are being given to the local Iranian market at $580-610/mt CFR Bandar Abbas.

Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes of 2"-6" size, grade B as per ASTM A106, are in a range of around $900-920/mt CFR.
