The Saudi Arabian welded
pipe market is currently quiet due to Ramadan and hot weather conditions. However, Saudi
pipe producers are trying to keep their quotations relatively stable, decreasing them by a maximum of only $10/mt compared to the levels of one month ago. During Ramadan, the local welded
pipe market is likely to remain quiet and no surge in demand is expected in the short run.
Current offers from Saudi Arabia's commercial producers for 1"-4" ERW pipes of grades A, B as per ASTM A53 are at $700-730/mt delivered. Quality Saudi Arabian manufacturers approved by state-owned national oil company Saudi Aramco are offering 6"-10" ERW bare pipes of grade B as per API 5L PSL 2 at around $800-820/mt ex-works. Export quotations of 6"-10" welded steel pipes of grade B made to API 5L from quality producers are at $825-845/mt FOB.
Import offers of Chinese welded pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given to the local Saudi market at around $500-540/mt CFR, unchanged compared to one month ago.
