Activity in the seamless pipe market in the UAE has slowed down over the past month due to flagging demand during Ramadan. Within the past month, quotations of Chinese pipes have decreased by $10/mt, prices for Ukrainian material have declined by $40-50/mt and quotations of Romanian seamless pipes have moved down by a maximum of $30/mt. Offers of German and Japanese materials have stayed unchanged in the same period. The seamless pipe market in the UAE may continue to see slow buying activity due to the summer season.

Most offers of seamless pipes of 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM/API from the majority of Chinese mills are being given to the local UAE market at $520-570/mt CFR.

Quotations of Ukrainian (Interpipe) seamless pipes, 2"-6" Sch 40 grade B made to ASTM/API, are at $840-870/mt CFR, while 8"-12" pipes are at $870-900/mt CFR.

Seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal) of 3"-10" grade B made to ASTM/API are quoted at about $1,080-1,100/mt CFR.

Quotations from Germany (V&M) and from Japan (NSSMC) for seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM/API are at about $1,200-1,240/mt CFR.
