Some Turkish mills increase their ship scrap purchase prices

Some of the Izmir region-based Turkish steel producers have slightly raised their ship scrap purchase prices today, October 9, increasing them by $2/mt. As a result, currently the raw material can be sold to the mills within the narrow range of $234-235/mt. Some further upward revisions might be undertaken by the producers, given the increase in import scrap prices in the latest ex-US deal, SteelOrbis understands.

In Turkey's Aliaga region the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
