Scrap prices increase in Taiwan

SteelOrbis has been informed that the price of HMS 1&2 carbon scrap in Taiwan is being quoted at NTD 10,300-10,800/mt ($313-328/mt) ex-yard, indicating an increase of NTD 400/mt ($12/mt) as compared to last week.

On the other hand, the price of stainless scrap in Taiwan has accelerated up to the range of NTD 52,000-56,000/mt ($1,581-1,703/mt) ex-yard, rising by NTD 5,000-6,000/mt ($152-182/mt) as compared to last week.

The above prices, which include five percent VAT, are for mid-September shipments.
