Scrap prices in Taiwan

SteelOrbis has been informed that the price of HMS 1&2 carbon scrap in Taiwan is being quoted at NTD 9,900-10,400/mt ($302-317/mt) ex-yard, indicating an increase of NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) as compared to last week.

On the other hand, the price of stainless scrap in Taiwan has deteriorated to the range of NTD 45,000-49,000/mt ($1,373 -1,496/mt) ex-yard, down NTD 2,000/mt ($61/mt) as compared to last week.

Prices, which include five percent VAT, are for mid-August shipments.
