India’s NMDC Limited cuts prices of iron ore lumps and fines

Indian government-run miner NMDC Limited has cut its prices of iron ore lump and fines for all deliveries with immediate effect, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday, January 9.

The prices for lumps and fines have been lowered by INR 350/mt ($4/mt) taking the effective price for lumps (10-40 mm, Fe content 67 percent) to INR 7,070/mt ($82.30/mt) ex-pithead.

The effective price for fines (less than 10 mm, Fe content 64 percent) stands at INR 5,060/mt ($58.90/mt) ex-pithead following the price reduction.

All prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
