Ex-Brazil pig iron deals to the US increase

On August 21, SteelOrbis reported ex-Brazil basic pig iron offers to the US at $370-385/mt CFR US port from both the Southern and Northern Brazil regions.

According to sources, several additional deals were heard closed in Brazil at $350/mt FOB Southern Brazil port or approximately $375/mt CFR US port and a deal at $380/mt CFR to the US or approximately $370/mt FOB Northern Brazil port.

New offers from the Southern Brazil region are heard increasing by $5/mt to $375-390/mt CFR US port. From the Northern Brazil region, offers have increased $10/mt from the bottom of the range and $5/mt from the top of the range and are heard at $380-390/mt CFR US.
