Ex-Brazil basic pig iron prices to Italy tick upward

According to sources, a Brazilian pig iron producer has recently sold basic steelmaking pig iron to Italy at approximately $350/mt FOB Southern Brazilian port. Compared to the previous transaction reported to Italy on July 21 from the same region at $350/mt CFR or approximately $330/mt FOB, deal prices have increased $20/mt in FOB terms.

Offers to Italy are presently $355-360/mt FOB Southern Brazilian port or approximately $375-380/mt CFR
