Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers’ prices have risen by TRY 200-550/mt ($1-9/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 24,650/mt ($612/mt) ex-works today, July 16. The mill was offering its equal angle price at TRY 24,400/mt ($612/mt) on Monday, July 14, with its price indicating an increase of TRY 250/mt ($6/mt) since then.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late July-August or from stocks, depending on the size.
