Today, January 27, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly increased by TRY 150-250/mt ($5-12/mt) amid currency fluctuations and tighter supply. Only in the Marmara region, rebar spot prices have remained unchanged on Turkish lira basis, while falling by $4/mt in the dollar-based prices. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 11,200-11,300/mt or $696-703/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are currently offering rebar at $700-710/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S. In addition, around 10,000 mt or 18,000 mt of rebar were traded at $700/mt ex-works in the Izmir region, SteelOrbis has heard.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy has opened its rebar sales at TRY 11,400/mt ($709/mt) ex-works today.
