The reference price for the export of rebars by Brazilian producers is $870/mt against $890/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In December, Brazil exported 34,400 mt and imported 12,600 mt of rebars against 46,600 mt and 6,400 mt in November.
The exports of December were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (18,900 mt at $719/mt) and Gerdau (15,500 mt at $618/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from Egypt (12,400 mt at $580/mt), China (100 mt at $799/mt), and Germany (100 mt at $1,673/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebars are offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 6,150/mt ($1,018/mt) against BRL 6,300/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
